Question How to start a car that has PASSLOCK/PASSKEY???

Hey guys, I have a Pontiac Grand Am GT *2004* with a Ram Air V6. Currently, my car has the SECURITY Light issue that i guess alot of GM owners get. I have down research, and it said to snip the yellow wire that goes to the ignition. I cut it last night, but the forum i read on another website never said that the car has to be running **To me stupidity for not double checking**. I tried turning the car on and it sounded like the battery was dead, so i reconnected the wire with a twist connector. And than it started up. But for some reason, my car starts whenever it wants =/, so i cannot do the Passlock Bypass, without the car on. SO my queston is, how do i get the car to start? Just TEMP. untill i can snip the yellow wire? I have tried doing the: "Turn Key to the ON position for 10-15 minuetes, and then turn the key to OFF for 5-30 seconds" thing it doesn't work. It just cranks and cranks still. Please help guys!

Yeah it was kind of a pain in the ass for me since I had no access to my own .bin file so I had to use a stock 05 .bin from the net but works perfectly. Sure as hell beats waiting 10 minutes or longer if you screw it up.

OK Thanks I got it to start. Just moved around some relays and fuses. Haha, its so frustrating! But anyways, got it started, cut the yellow wire, and put electrical tape on the ends of each part so they dont touch anything. Atleast untill i can get a hold of a toggle or a rocker switch.

It's under Security, Vehicle Theft Deterrent, VTD Auto Learn Timer. The default is 600 seconds which is 10 minutes. I changed it to 30 seconds and I can vouche that it indeed works.

It's possible it could be turned off entirely but I didn't want to risk it so I just set it low to speed the process up.
