Turn Signal Cam

I am one of those people who ruined the copper ring on the turn signal cam when replacing the multifunction switch and of course the horn doesn't work. I did this about 7 years ago. haha. I have the new cam and everything apart through the clock spring. How the heck do I get that metal piece off that is holding on the cam? Seriously need to get this thing fixed before I put it all back together. It's my only car too so I'm stuck.

I don't have a pic of the metal piece in front of it because my car is put back together. So these pics might not help at all.
