I don't understand why they wouldn't cut down to 1 plate everywhere, it's half the cost of 2...

Most likely because I've never held a caliper before but these things are huge.

they are vs stock. fyi when you put them on make sure you bleeder screws are shut before you bleed them. i know this sounds obvious, but on the one i had to buy the bleeder was open a tiny bit. this made fluid drip off the dongle, which made be think my connection was not sealing. just a head up, it looks great, and make a huge differnce.

Painted n sht. The red looks a ton better in the sunlight.
I cleaned/scuffed the fk out of it but there where still "fish eye" spots that popped up somehow. Just minor though, a caliper isn't made to look 100% pretty right? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Shoulda used G2 caliper paint. You wouldn't have had fish eyes. And that duplicolor caliper paint sucks. I used it on mine once years ago. Paint faded within a year and after two years I had chips and flakes in the paint.

People have mixed reviews of this and many have had it last for longer then 2 years. I prepped it well and have around 5 coats on it, its not going to chip n fade anytime soon.
Plus I'm not going to spend $50 for caliper paint , calipers aren't supposed to look completely pretty.I had black originally on my stock calipers now and its just now chipping but just started to chip after like a year but thats because they weren't prepped well and I drove the car shortly after, plus we painted it while it was still on the car.

Hey, you get what you pay for. And why shouldn't calipers stay looking nice? The G2 is an epoxy based paint that is much more durable than any spray, no matter how many coats you put on. And you only have to brush it on. No taping and masking required. I'd gladly pay $50 to be able to paint my calipers ONCE and not have to touch them again for 10 years. My time is more valuable.

Hey, about the only thing I haven't tried is a turbo or manual transmission swap... yet.

looks really good man. big rims and small brakes leave something to be desired. its nice to see the wheel fill up with big brakes. i also like your color combo, nice choice
so. . . can you feel a differnce when braking?
