American Eagle 077's

Well guys finally back from school.I bought a set of American Eagle 077's off of a former member from here, drove 5 hours roundtrip to get these bad boys. Just posting pics of some cleaning and polishing I did with Mother's Mag Aluminum polish and here are the results

There's a little more lighting on the left side of the pic, so that's why the left one looks more shiny

Oh and they won't be going on the car for another weak or so, still have to dismount one tire, and weld the one inch crack, but won't have access to the tools needed till hopefully this weekend.

Washed them up and here are the results before polishing:

And the after the washing and polishing:

Yeah fixin' that up will be later done the road, I'll do a full restore. Sand them down, then have to prime and repaint them. But for now they are A LOT better than my ****ty stock ones. Plus picked them up for 300$ and they still have a good amount of tread left, so i figured it was a win win.

Nice find.

Are those BFGoodrich G-Force T/A tires? What size?

Which "former member" did you snag them off of?

Yes sir, they have a decent amount of tread left, a good 2 summers or so. They're 235/40/ZR18.

Yeah Tanner got it right drumking1721

Yeah, they're pretty good. They were well taken care of, but weren't properly cared for. They're clean, but looks as if he only polished the face and nothing else, so inside the spokes and all tight spaces have more oxidation than the rest, but all in all I'm satisfied.

Well gentlemen, I was able to weld the crack yesterday. Man, it was a real PITA, but nonetheless the tire holds air and the weld actually turned out better then I thought it would. My girlfriend's grandpa has a really nice machine. On the other side of the main crack was a small stress fracture, so I left a little extra weld to support it, but not to much to throw the weight off.

I was able to get outside today and wash and wax her up, also to take some shots of the new 18" rims. The rims still need a little work yet, but I'm content after welding up the one rim. Now, I'm almost positive someone will say "you have to lower your car, because it looks like a 4x4." Honestly, I would love to, but the underside of car would bottom out everywhere. The roads in Wisconsin are horrible, especially my 1/4 miles long gravel drive way and when I'm at school in Chicago there is just to many speed bumps and pot holes, so its out of the question.

Anyway, enough babbling onto the pictures:

one of my favorites:

This one is definitely my favorite:

Anyway, let me know what you guys think. As always, enjoy

Haha don't worry guys. I bought torre's old gen 2 tinted led tails off his GA that died, so I'm going to re-tint these current ones, and have them as a back up.

You have no idea how frusterating it is to live on that long of a gravel driveway. It's impossible to keep clean, no matter how slow I go, it would just be too much money to get it paved.. ahhh yes gotta love the country

and Nate you would be that guy... d!ck
