Will 08? Grand Prix Gxp 18 inch wheels fit on my GAGT

Coworker has a set he would let me have, only thing is I believe the wheels are different offsets front and back since its a 5.3. Could I get spacers for the back to make it work or is it a no go

I personally wouldn't get them seeing that they have no "depth" to them. They look to flat for a five spoke wheel.

The offset might be fine. Stormtec 2.0 on GAOC has older 90s GP wheels on and the offset on them is 20mm or 25mm or something. I personally wouldn't go that low, I think that would mess up the scrub pattern on a FWD car.

i have 16x8 crosslace wheels that i use on occasion. with a 225 tire they fit the rim nicely. on a GP they have 245-50-16 tires.

had a pic somewhere of those on the car but it's eluding me today. think this is the only pic i have photbuckets new layout blows.

unless you can get the same size of the either the front or back rims i wouldn't do it. if you search 60degreev6.com there was a guy who had the same wheels i posted the pic of on his car with the 245-50-16 tires and had no issues with rubbing..think he had a silver 4 door

Well they are free is the reason I'm considering them. I like the chrome torrent wheels and these look similar so that's my reasoning. They have good tires on them, one tire does have a slow leak but if they are an improvement over the stock ones...

Just don't want them looking goofy if the fronts stick out or in too much

Well tried them on and ran into some issues, looks like I will need a spacer of 2 inches front and back, the shock mount was hitting the tires. The wheels look like they need to come out about and inch or two but idk if that's too much to space out, but it would look awesome

here is a pic of the car with the wheels, although they fit here, the bottom of the spring plate is rubbing the top of the tire. IDK if going to a lower profile tire as the stock GPX wheels are an inch or two taller than factory GA wheels/tires. Anyone know of an 18 inch tire that would fit? I don't want to run spacers if I don't have to but I would need to run 1.5-2 inch ones to clear the current wheel/tire setup

I know I've got Buick Century wheels on mine and it's really really tight.. not rubbing but close; probably need some lower profile tires but I'm not 100% sure what size would work... all I know is that those look wonderful on your car!!

Why? They're 18x8 and 18x7

I'm using 225/40 on a 18x8 wheel . If I could put the amount of stretch into a percentage it would probably be near the ballpark of 1%

So now that we have a size that would work, what back spacing is needed so I know how much (if any) of a spacer is needed? Thanks

If the offset of a rim is 35mm, getting a 10mm spacer is the equivalent of having a 25mm offset I think.

I don't know what you're saying but I personally say get different rims, something about the spokes make the wheel look weird on a GA but then again its your car. I just don't like the fact that its wider in the front and smaller in the back, thats just looks weird to me.
